'The Lost Post'
Finally, the third post about last year and the 'secret' projects.
This brings us to the beginning of the year (2013 that is).... Most of us have just finished giving our family and friends the items we so lovingly crafted; and the holiday season has just ended. We find ourselves hunting through our stash [yarn and such we keep on hand (you know, in case of emergency, (non-stashers wouldn't understand)] and through those scraps of yarn left over from our holiday giving period. Either we're in a desperate search for another project to start or we're trying to talk ourselves into picking up that WIP [work in progress] that has been haunting us for the last year, or two. or umm, never mind.
You must understand, this can be a very trying time for a knitter. We've gone from nonstop knitting to a complete standstill. We traumatize ourselves; worrying about what the next project will be or whether or not we're spending too much time sitting and staring at the boob tube. Which, by-the-way, is perfectly fine when binging and knitting. Then there's the struggle of trying to set a good example for the kids by keeping our time on the computer (Ravelry) to a minimum. Oh the agony (really, I mean it).
Then we get the news! There's a baby on the way!
That means....GROUP PROJECT!!!!
Time to design, plan and execute the next project; a blanket for a coworker's little boy. Yay! We can incorporate the floating hearts pattern to show the little guy some love.
